Poetry

We are all wordsmiths now
Fruitlessly seducing the muses
In desperation
Seeking inspiration
All we get is perspiration
Is it our generation?

We are all copycats now
Reading what's gone before
Forgetting what's at our core
But life's such bore
Yet writing's a chore.
Show distraction the door!
Study more. And more.

We are all yuppies now.
Living in a city
Looking all pretty
Hello kitty!
But the reality's gritty
Stuck in the rat race, what a pity.

We should all be happy now.
Youth is beauty
Fate is duty
Don't be moody
Youth is cutie
Let's be happy. Tutti.
